Terms of service

Last updated 29 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Tinfile (tinfile.atesensoftware.com), provided by Samet Ateşen, trading as Atesen Software, Sakarya, Türkiye ("we"). By using Tinfile or buying a licence you accept them.

1. What Tinfile does

Tinfile is browser software for reporting financial institutions and the firms that report for them. It reads a workbook of reportable accounts that you provide, applies checks based on the CRS and FATCA reporting formats, builds CRS XML (OECD schema v3.0) and FATCA XML (IRS schema v2.0.1) files, validates them against those schemas in your browser and, with a licence, lets you download the files and a review workbook. The processing runs in your browser; the workbook is not sent to us.

3. Payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown in USD. Where VAT or sales tax applies, Paddle calculates it for your country and shows the total before you pay. Licences are one-time payments covering 12 months and do not renew automatically.

4. Your responsibility

Tinfile formats and checks data you provide. It is not tax, legal or compliance advice and does not decide which accounts are reportable: your due diligence does. A file that passes the schema check can still be rejected or queried by a tax authority that applies its own rules, and the content of the file depends on the completeness and accuracy of your workbook. You remain responsible for reviewing the files, filing them on time with your tax authority and keeping your records. Tinfile does not submit files for you.

5. Availability and changes

We may improve, change or discontinue features. A licence you bought keeps its download access for its 12-month term, including updates for new schema versions published in that term. Files you downloaded remain yours.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Tinfile is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including penalties imposed by a tax authority, claims against your firm or lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Refunds

See the refund policy: 14-day money-back guarantee.
